There is a select few that think that it might be a once in a lifetime opportunity for them. Soooo.....we end up going on the 1-2 mile hike up the trail to see Rainbow Bridge. It wasn't to bad of hike this year because the water level has gone up quite a bit. It's fun to get a picture up there, but I would be okay not doing it again.

Knee Boarding all by himself

We put Adam on the knee board and he was fine

as long as he thought I was holding on to the back of him....but I was a mean mom and let go. They consisted of two week sessions for four days a week with one on one lessons. The first week was pretty tough. Not because he was afraid of the water, but because he has problems with complete strangers. Which I guess is not a bad thing I wouldn't want him to be comfortable spending time with strangers. I tried explaining to him what was going on and that I wasn't going to be leaving him and that it was important to know how to swim.

So the first day he was not happy at all. His swim instructor wasn't aware that he was already a pretty good swimmer. So when she helped to the edge of the pool to hang on to the side. With assuming he would not be able to climb out of the pool, he jumped out of the pool as fast as he could and started running. She climbed out, not near as fast as Adam, and took off after him. Well, Adam is pretty fast so they ran around the pool a couple of times with Adam screaming to go home. I was so embarrassed and upset with Adam after paying the money for his lessons and experiencing the first day. Luckily every day got better with a little bribe. We had to pick out some toys at the dollar store and put them in a basket above the fridge. Everyday he did good without crying and doing what his instructor said he could come home and pick out a toy. It worked pretty good. Toward the end I didn't have to bribe and now he asks to go back to swimming lessons almost every morning. All in all it was a goog experience and I feel a lot more comfortable with him around water.

Fishing

Ryan, his dad and Adam went on a fishing trip at Roosevelt lake. I don't know why I thought I could keep up with a blog. I don't even consistantly write in a journal. So for those of you who check my blog for updates, you should give me 2-3 months before an update. For those of you who have given up on my blog, hopefully, someday you'll check it again. Now for this picture....The Diquattro Family in Peurto Penasco, Mexico. We were there for a week and it was awesome. This was our first family trip with everyone together. It took four years of my marriage, but we were finally able to get everyone together. Adam had a blast with his cousins. He has only seen them once or twice before. Now when we talk about his cousins he knows who we are talking about and remembers how much fun he had with them at the beach and swimming in the pool. It was nice for Ryan to get away from school and relax. We enjoyed our time there.

Park Day

Adam leading the way at the park. They had Vroom Vrooms (aka motorcycles). They were really loud and would intentionally vroom their engines. Adam was all about it, but his little friend Abby didn't quite like it as much as Adam.

Christmas Day

Adam was totally excited about his gifts. He got a train table. It has a track that sets up around the table with other accesories that include a firestation, airport, and contruction site. It keeps him quite occupied throughout the day even a month later. He also got a spiderman airplane that flies by itself using compressed air. Those are the main gifts he got, but he also recieved a lot of fun things. He enjoyed opening his gifts and opened all of ours also. It was kind of quiet this Christmas by ourselves in Vegas. We only have one more Christmas left here in Vegas and then were back to the great Valley of the Sun. So after Adam went to bed the night before his birthday we put his jeep right outside the door of where he was sleeping at Grandma and Grandpa Diquattro's house. I wanted it there so it would be the first thing he saw when he woke up. Ryan and I were so excited to see his reaction when he saw it. But that crazy kid....instead of coming in our room which he usually always does when he wakes up he ran down stairs to Grandma and Grandpa's room and woke them up to hurry and show them what was outside his room. He was so excited and was ready to ride. He had to get a few intructions from Dad, but after a few minutes he had it down. We could not get him off it all day. Ryan and I had to run a few errands later that afternoon and while we were out he wouldn't get out jeep to eat, sleep or go to the bathroom. Ryan's mom was watching him and ran inside to grab something. When she came back out he had fallen asleep at the wheel. His foot was still on the gas and he was going in cirlces. We missed a picture because Lori was by herself and didn't want to leave him unattended being that he was asleep at the wheel he could crash into something. So we don't have a picture, but we do have the hilarious story. It was so fun to see Adam that morning and all day on his jeep. I went a little overboard, but it was fun and since his jeep was so big we had to rent a uhaul to get it home to Vegas. But he still loves riding it and takes his little friends for rides.

Adam's Jeep

For Adam's birthday he got a jeep. He was starting to understand the concept of birthdays and birthday presents ever since he went to his friend Abby's birthday party. After her birthday I started to ask him what he wanted. And I have no idea where he got the idea, but he would always tell me, "A yellow jeep." So I started my search a month before. Unfortunately I wasn't able to find a yellow jeep, but we did find this green power wheels jeep. But better late than never.

Halloween Party!!! Crazy Dad was a mad scientist or dentist. Mom was a baseball player. Then of course there was Adam as spiderman. The party was great. The kids had so much fun and the grown-ups had just as much. They had fun games. Adam won some cupcakes from the cake walk. He got to go through a haunted house. He was a little scared, but when he saw that it was just his nursery teacher being silly he was okay. Then we went out side and had a trunk-or-treat. That's where people from our ward will go out in the church parking lot and stand by their cars with candy. Then the kids can go from car to car trick-or-treating. Adam got lots of candy and had a blast.

For our thirteen days of Halloween we made stone pumpkins. The last 13 days before Halloween we have craft activities for the kids to do each day. The first day we made ghosts. The second day halloween magnets. Then today we made button spiders. They all have turned out way cute so far. Adam gets to make egg carton pumpkins, spooooky hands, and lots of other fun little halloween crafts. I'll try to get pictures up of most of the crafts, but for right now I just have the ghosts. So stay tuned for upcoming halloween fun...

Choppin' wood for Great Grandpa Kempton

Adam spent all morning chopping wood for grandpa.
